ACHIEVEMENTS OF HEALTH DEPARTMENT

During 2004 2006
  • Introduction of Provincial  Health Policy.

  • Formulating the Board of Governors for teaching hospitals.

  • Decentralization of procurement for speedy access.

  • Telemedicine project.

  • Strengthen the existing faults through and province.

  • Bill to standardize private sector hospitals.

  • Safe Blood Transfusion Authority Established and activated.

  • Action against illegal blood banks and establishment of regular blood banks supported.

  • Huge programs for Hepatitis B,C 7 E, Blindness control and HIV/AIDS initiated.

  • Taluka Hospital Gambat up graded to Gambat Institutes of Medical & Health Sciences.

  • Establishment of Trauma Center at Karachi & Hyderabad.

  • Provision of C.T scanner and M.R.I in all Teaching Hospital of Sindh.

  • Provision of Lithotripter Machine at PMCH Nawabshah, Civil Hospital Sukkur and Civil Hospital Mirpurkhas.

  • Establishment of Dental Facility at CMC Larkhana.

  • Provision of equipment of Angio cath machinery and angiography/ Angioplasty facilities at Liaquat University Hospital Hyderabad.

  • Distribution of 111 Ambulances in all major hospital and other health facilities

  • Establishment of Nuclear Medical center at PMCH Nawabshah.

  • 21 Development Scheme are completed in CFY 2005-06 and 20 Schemes will be initiated in next ADP 2006-07.

  • Funds of Rs. 95.00 Million provided for purchase of equipments for cancer center at SIUT.

  • Career structure of paramedics.

  • Establishment of new nursing training Institute (7 for Midwives, 4 Nursing training Institute and 1 general nursing female institute  ).

  • Computerization of Health Department.

  • Development of Updated Official Website of Health Department.

  • Establishment of new Medical College at Mirpurkhas.
