Know all men by these presents that we (a) _______________________ son of
____________________________ (hereinafter referred to as the scholar)
___________________ son of __________________ (hereinafter referred to as the
Obligor), acting as lawful guardian for and on behalf of _________________ son
of ________________________ (hereinafter referred to as the Scholar) and (b)(i)
_______________________ son of ______________________________ resident of
____________________________ (ii)________________________ son of
__________________________ resident of _______________________ (hereinafter
referred to as sureties) do hereby bind ourselves jointly and severally each of
us, each of our heirs, executors, administrators, and representatives to pay the
Governor of Sindh (hereinafter called the Government which term shall include
his successors in office and assigns) acting through the Administrator
___________________ (hereinafter referred to as Administrator) the sum of rupees
Twenty five thousand only.
Whereas the Scholar has applied for the grant of scholarship of Rs.__________ to
study and practice medicine in the _____________________ College (hereinafter
referred to as the said institution) and to obtain the Bachelor's Degree in the
________________ (hereinafter referred to as the said course).
And whereas the Government has agreed grant to the Scholar a scholarship of
Rs.__________ for the said course and purpose at the said institution on the
terms and conditions hereinafter appearing________________.

Now, therefore, this deed witnesses as follows:-
1. The Government shall pay to the scholar through the principal sum of Rs.
1,000 (one thousand) per annum i.e. Rs.25,000 (twenty five thousand) for the
duration of the said course of his/her study at the said institution in the
following manner: -
(a) During each year Rupees one thousand as lump sum in October each year and
Rupees five hundred per month for eight months.
2. The scholar after the completion of the said course at the said institution
shall refund 40% of the amount of scholarship received by him/her in monthly
installments each installment being not less than Rs.20/- per month within a
period of ten years. Government may however, relax the condition of monthly
installment in cases of real hardship for period not exceeding 3 months at a
time.
3. The Government shall be competent to stop the scholarship at any time of its
own without assigning any reason or on the discharge of the Scholar from the
said institution at any time during the course of his/her study or if he/she
does not in the opinion of the authorities of the said institution, how
sufficient attitude for the said course for which he/she has been granted the
scholarship.
4. The Scholar unless otherwise exempted by the Principal shall, during the
period of the said courses live in the hostel of the said institution.
5. The Scholar shall diligently carry out his/her studies in the said
institution in the said course, duly observe all rules and regulations of the
said institution and obey the orders of the Principal issued from time to time.
6. The Scholar shall confine his/her studies to the said courses and shall not
change the same without the prior permission of the Government.
7. On the completion of his/her studies at the said institution or any other
institution to which the scholar may be transferred or may obtain admission with
the permission of Government and on obtaining a degree qualifying him/her for
appointment as a Medical Doctor under Government, the Scholar shall, if so
required to do by Government, serve the Government in any post of capacity in
place in Sindh or in any statutory Corporation or Body specified by the
Government for a period of five years on such terms and conditions as the case
may be.
8. During the period of service as aforesaid the Scholar shall diligently and
efficiently do all acts and discharge all duties which may be required from
him/her to be done in his/her capacity as a Doctor and shall faithfully observe
the rules and regulations which govern the appointment as aforesaid.
In the event of death or insolvency of the Sureties, the scholar shall execute a
fresh bond and with fresh sureties to the satisfaction of the Government.
Now the condition of this Bond is that if the Scholar shall duly and faithfully
observe and perform all the stipulations and conditions specified in clause (I)
to (9) above then this Bond shall be void, otherwise the same remain in full
force, and the obligor and the Sureties shall jointly and severally bind
themselves, their heirs, executors, administrators and representatives to pay to
Government the stipulated sum of fifty thousand along with the received amount.
Provided always and it is hereby expressly agreed and declared that these
presents shall be treated and considered as entered into under the order of the
Government for the performance by the Obligor and the Sureties of the Government
for the performance by the Obligor and the Sureties of a public duly and an act
in which the public are interested within the meaning of Section 74 of the
Contract Act, 1782 and that the stamp on the instrument shall be borne by the
Government.
